Free Invites

Seth Godin is giving away free invites to his Triiibe network to readers of his blog. This is a great idea. Seth Godin has a pretty good feel for things. He already has an amazing readership on his blog, now with his exclusive network all he has to do is invite...and be picky at who he accepts. I tried to get in. No word yet on how it's going, but it takes a few days.

It gets me thinking though. When you're creating a network for leaders, what's important? Does the design of the website need to be good? Does the content really play the biggest role? What about being able to build solid relationships with other leaders? Do leaders like giveaways and "special network only" discounts?

What about you? What do you think is the most important part of the networks you've joined? Why did you join in the first place?
